Dr Periasamy was a tenured Professor of Economics and Director of the Graduate School of Business Management at University of Baltimore, USA. He mobilised fellow Indians in USA and formed the organisation PGP International Financial and Industrial Consultants Inc., USA. This organisation has been offering consultancy in Investment, Management, Financial Services, Industrial Collaboration and Technology Transfer etc. Besides, PGP International has been running a Hotel Ramada Inn and managing various properties like Apartments and Shopping Complexes in USA. Since 1987, this group of NRIs has invested more than US $ 45 million in various grass-root projects of PGP Group.
